MLM software: frequently asked questions
Short, direct answers to what founders and operations teams ask us most, covering plans, cost, compliance, payments, technology and support.
General
What is MLM software?
MLM software is a business platform that runs a multi-level marketing or direct selling company. It registers distributors, maps their network (genealogy), calculates commissions under the compensation plan, manages wallets and payouts, sells products, and keeps the tax, KYC and audit records the business needs.
Is there a free demo?
Yes. Book a free live demo from the contact page or on WhatsApp. A product specialist walks you through the admin panel, member panel and mobile app configured for the plan you are considering, and answers questions about compliance, payments and launch.
Does MLM.ERP work outside India?
Yes. MLM.ERP supports multiple currencies and languages, international card and wallet gateways, crypto payments and country-specific tax fields. It is set up for direct selling businesses in the UAE, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the UK, North America and Australia.
How long does it take to launch with MLM.ERP?
A standard configuration of a supported plan launches much faster than a custom build, because the engine, panels and apps already exist. Custom rules, integrations, app-store approvals and smart-contract audits add time. You receive a written timeline with milestones after the requirement call.
Plans & commissions
Which MLM compensation plans does MLM.ERP support?
MLM.ERP supports 20 plan types: binary, matrix, unilevel, generation, board, level income, stair step, monoline, repurchase, growth, party, recharge, crypto, decentralised, semi-decentralised, crypto auto bot, NFT, smart contract, staking and token-based plans. Plans can also be combined into a hybrid, such as binary plus repurchase.
Can I change my compensation plan after launch?
Yes. Percentages, levels, caps, qualification rules and rank criteria are configurable from the admin panel without code. For structural changes, MLM.ERP lets you test the new rules on sample data first and schedule the switch from a specific payout cycle, so past earnings remain untouched.
Which MLM plan is best for a new company?
There is no single best plan. Product-led companies often start with unilevel or repurchase plans because they are simple to explain and reward ongoing sales. Binary plans suit businesses that want team-building incentives, and generation plans reward leadership. Choose the structure that fits your products, margins and target distributors.
Can I combine two MLM plans?
Yes. Many companies run hybrids, such as a binary plan for team volume with a repurchase or unilevel bonus for product sales, or a matrix with a rank-based generation bonus. MLM.ERP's engine evaluates each bonus type independently and shows the breakdown on every payout.
Payments & payouts
Which payment gateways can be integrated?
Ready integrations include UPI, Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, Paytm, CCAvenue, Instamojo, Stripe, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Perfect Money and crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH, TRX). Any other gateway with a documented API, such as a local mobile-money provider, can be added during setup.
How are commission payouts made to distributors?
Commissions are credited to the member's e-wallet in real time. Members request a withdrawal, which passes KYC, minimum-amount and approval checks, then is paid by bank transfer, UPI or crypto. Admins can also run scheduled bulk payouts with exported bank files.
Can my MLM business accept crypto payments?
Yes. MLM.ERP supports USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 and BEP-20, along with BTC, ETH and TRX, for deposits and payouts. It can also run plans fully on-chain with smart contracts, or use a semi-decentralised model. Check the crypto regulations in every country where you operate.
Compliance & tax
Is MLM software legal in India?
Yes. The software itself is legal; what matters is how the business runs. In India, direct selling companies must follow the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021, which ban pyramid and money circulation schemes. MLM.ERP provides KYC, TDS, GST invoicing, grievance and record-keeping tools that support compliance.
Does MLM.ERP deduct TDS on commissions automatically?
Yes. TDS can be applied automatically on every commission payout according to the rates and thresholds you configure, with PAN-based handling and deductee-wise reports for filing. Confirm current rates under the Income-tax Act with your chartered accountant, as they change through Finance Acts.
Does MLM.ERP stop my business from becoming a pyramid scheme?
Software cannot make a business model legal, but it can support a compliant one. MLM.ERP lets you tie commissions to product volume, set purchase and activity rules, record retail sales, handle returns and keep complete records. Your compensation plan should be reviewed by a lawyer in each country you operate.
Technology & security
How secure is MLM.ERP?
MLM.ERP uses SSL encryption, two-factor authentication, role-based admin permissions, activity logs, fraud and IP monitoring, withdrawal approval workflows and automated database backups. Sensitive member data such as bank and KYC details is access-controlled and only visible to authorised staff.
Who owns the data in my MLM software?
You do. Your member, sales and commission data belongs to your company. MLM.ERP provides exports and backups, and the deployment and data-handling terms are set out in your agreement so you are never locked out of your own records.
Does MLM.ERP include mobile apps?
Yes. MLM.ERP offers white-label Android and iOS apps for members and a separate admin app. Members can view their genealogy, wallet, commissions, orders and KYC status, request withdrawals and receive push notifications, all under your brand name and logo.
Can I migrate from my current MLM software?
Yes. The team maps your existing members, sponsor and placement tree, wallet balances, orders and pending commissions into MLM.ERP, then reconciles totals before go-live so distributors see the same numbers on day one. Share an export or database backup during discovery to scope the migration.
Pricing & support
How much does MLM software cost?
Cost depends on the compensation plan's complexity, the modules you need (shop, franchise, crypto, mobile apps), custom development and hosting. MLM.ERP quotes after a short discovery call so you only pay for what your business uses. The demo and the written proposal are free.
What support do I get after launch?
After go-live you get onboarding and admin training, a support channel for issues and changes, and help with plan adjustments, new gateways and feature requests. Support scope and response times are defined in your service agreement.
